Recently I played again a little with the superb program Inkscape. Yesterday I found by accident the excellent video-podcast at heathenx. In Episode 045 – Snapshot Mosaic by Richard Querin you can see how to separate a picture in parts. Here is my first result:

The day after was really not easy, but: congratulations the Spanish soccer-team for getting the cup. They deserve the victory, German players hardly tried but didn’t persuade.

By accident I found today morning a very funny 404-page. At Lookitsme is living the 404 frog.
Such error pages you want to see more frequent. It reminds me, that I also should have a better 404-page. But so far I don’t have a good idea and the one with the frog is already used.

Letzte Woche war ich ein paar Tage in Russland. Mittwoch Abend Flug nach Moskau, dort eine Nacht und am Donnerstag in aller Früh weiter mit dem Flieger nach Nischni Novgorod (Ни́жний Но́вгород). Nach ein paar Stunden in der Druckerei dann kurz ins Hotel und am Freitag den ganzen Tag in der Druckerei. Abends sind wird dann noch kurz essen gegangen. Die Nacht zum Samstag war kurz, die Zeitverschiebung von 2 Stunden macht sich doch bemerkbar. Es ging um 6:00 (4:00 deutscher Zeit) wieder los zum Flughafen und nach einem 6-stündigen Stop in Moskau (auf dem Flughafen) weiter nach Prag.

Leider hatte ich wenig Muse auch noch Photos zu machen. Nur aus dem Hotelzimmer in Moskau und in der Druckerei habe ich ein paar Photos geschossen:

Trotz allem war Russland mal wieder ein Erlebnis, das letzte Mal war ich 1994 in St. Petersburg. Für mein Gefühl hat sich nicht viel verändert, ich hatte jedoch auch wenig Zeit um mir ein richtiges Bild zu machen. Die Preise sind unglaublich explodiert und ich frage mich, wie die “normalen” Leute sich das Leben leisten können. Ob die meisten nach wie vor 2 oder 3 Jobs haben? Im Immobilienteil der Moskauer Zeitung habe ich 1-Raum Wohnungen für 1000€ gefunden, unglaublich. Trotzdem ist Russland nach wie vor reizvoll, der Service schlecht, die Offiziellen am Flughafen unfreundlich – doch die Gastfreundschaft ohne Grenzen. Obwohl Kunden, haben sich die Leute der Druckerei sehr fürsorglich um uns bemüht, uns vom Hotel abgeholt, zum Flughafen gebracht …
